MPPSC Paper 2020 – MPOnline, Exam Date and Calendar

MPPSC exams are conducted by Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission every year. There are three stages, namely Prelims, Mains, and the interview round in the MPPSC exam. 

MPPSC Prelims Exam pattern 

There are two papers in the MPPSC prelims exam, and both the papers are of objective type. This stage is a screening test to filter candidates for the next rounds. The marks candidate’s score will be considered to evaluate the performance, and if your score is up to the mark, you will be clearing the UPSC prelims, and it’s time for you to start the UPSC Mains exam preparation.

Coming back to the MPPSC prelims, you will have four options A, B, C, and D for every question. You have to mark the answers on the sheet precisely. For every correct answer, you will get the maximum of two marks. The question paper can be availed either in English or Hindi, and the duration of the exam is two hours. This remains the same for both Paper I and Paper-II. The vacancies available in the state administration are very less than the number of students applying for the exams.

The candidates have to put efforts to score at least forty percent in both the papers. Thirty percent is the minimum percent for candidates who have quoted Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Backward Class and Handicapped candidates. 

MPPSC Mains Exam pattern 

Mains exam is a descriptive examination, and it comprises seven papers with essay questions. Three hours is the time duration for the exams, and you can avail of the question papers in English or Hindi, but the engineering subjects will be only in English and language papers as well. 

The first question with twenty short answers is mandatory, and each question carries three marks. It is made compulsory as most of the syllabus is covered under this section. 

Interview round 

The interview is for candidates who completed the Main exams with the qualifying marks. The interview also has marks, and it is expected to score more for better ranks. The unreserved candidates should score a minimum of thirty-three percent, and candidates cited themselves as SC/ST/OBC, and handicapped categories have the qualifying marks of twenty-thirty percent. 

MPPSC Eligibility criteria 

Here is everything you need to know about the MPPSC eligibility criteria. 

  • The candidate should be a citizen of India. 
  • Male candidates with more than one wife are not fit to write MPPSC exam. 
  • Female candidates in a marriage relationship with an individual who is married are not fit to write the MPPSC exam. 
  • Candidates can make use of the reservation and age relaxation in any one category, and it is up to the candidate.
  • Candidates who are found guilty by the court for a crime against women are not fit to take up the MPPSC exam. Candidates can take up the exam if the case is due, but the posting will be provided after the final verdict. 

Age criteria 

The minimum age for non-uniformed post is 21 years and the maximum age is forty years. The maximum age for women, PWD and SC/ST/OBC candidates are 45 years. 

For uniformed post, the minimum age is twenty years and the maximum age is thirty three years. The maximum age is thirty eight years for women belonging to the unreserved category and SC/ST/OBC candidates as well. 

Five years age relaxation for 

  • Women candidates 
  • Physically challenged 
  • SC/ST/OBC candidates 
  • Widow, Divorcee or jilted during the female candidate’s appointment 
  • Sportsmen with Vikram Award 

Three years of age relaxation for

  • Bureaucrats from Defence Services 
  • Educational qualification 

Candidates should have a degree from a recognized University, and it is essential for the candidates to get an equivalent qualification if they haven’t done a bachelor’s degree. A few posts in the state administration will require a medical examination to evaluate the physical measurements.

MPPSC MP online

MPPSC MP online is a joint venture of TCS and the Madhya Pradesh government. The main aim of developing the MP online portal is to provide G2C, G2B and B2C services to eradicate the need for visiting the government offices and ignore standing in lengthy queues. The citizens can avail of government services by furnishing the information in the form provided for services like birth certificate, death certificate, caste certificate application, and other professional exams. It was formed in 2006 and came into existence in the year 2007. This official portal of the Madhya Pradesh government has an objective of transforming “citizen inline” to “citizens online”. MPPSC syllabus

  • Under District fighter in the public relations department, there is only one vacancy that can be availed by a candidate belonging to OBC.
  • Under the public relations department, the Assistant Director post vacancy is available for one OBC candidate.
  • Under Cooperative Department, Assistant Director vacancy available in the unreserved category is 10, SC category is 7, ST category is 8, OBC category is 11, EWS category is 4 women of MP residence is 13 PwD, Women of MP residents is two.
  • Under the present department, Assistant Commissioner cooperative and Assistant Registrar vacancies are available for two candidates from unreserved category, one candidate from SC category, two candidates from OBC category, one candidate from EWS category and two female candidates from MP residents.
  • The superintendent of district jail vacancy is available for one candidate from SC category, two candidates from the OBC category, one female candidate from MP residents. Two candidates belong to the category of ex-servicemen.
  • Naib tahsildar under cooperative department vacancies available for 10 candidates from unreserved category, 6 candidates from SC category, 8 candidates from St category, 10 candidates from OBC category for candidates from EWS category, 12 female candidates of MP residents, two candidates belonging to the category of ex-servicemen in MP residents, two candidates from PWD category.
  • Under the finance department, the vacancies available for cooperative inspector or cooperative at extension officer specified here. The requirements are 6 candidates from unreserved category, 3 candidates from SC category, 3 candidates from ST category, 5 candidates from OBC category, one candidate from EWS category, 6 female candidates of MP residents, one candidate from ex-servicemen category and one candidate from PWD category.
  • MP subordinate accounts service vacancies for 21 candidates from unreserved category, candidates from SC category, 22 candidates from ST category, 33 candidates from OBC category, 9 candidates from EWS category, 29 female candidates from MP residents, 8 ex servicemen candidates, five candidates from PWD category.

MPPSC salary

Deputy district head under police department will acquire the salary of 15600 to 39100 

Deputy superintendent of police salary ranges from 15600 to 39100

District fighter under public relations department will acquire 15600 to 39100

Assistant director in public relations under the skill education department will also get 15600 to 39100. This salary remains the same for assistant commissioner operators and assistant registrar and superintendent in district jail. The grade pay varies from 5400. 

For posts like naib tahsildar in cooperative department, cooperative inspector in finance department and MP subordinate account services will have the salary of 9300 to 34800 and the grade pay ranges around 3600.
